What is our IMPACT Program?
Prepare to make a lasting impression with the Impact Program—a dynamic, half-length training experience that merges the essential elements of our Perfect Skating Program, Small Area Movement Program, and Goalie Development Program. This high-intensity, summer training opportunity is designed to propel athletes to new heights in their skating, agility, positioning, and game performance, setting them up for success in the upcoming season whether a player or a goalie.
With the Impact Program, you’ll refine your mechanics while also learning to apply them under the pressure of game-like situations. In just half the time of our other programs, you’ll receive a well-rounded, efficient training experience that makes a real difference on the ice. All Athletes will also be exposed to off ice conditioning and classroom sessions to give them the tools to succeed off the ice.
How is this different from our in-season programs?
-
Purpose: The Impact Program combines the foundational skating mechanics from the Perfect Skating Program with the applied, game-specific movements from the Small Area Movement Program. For our goalies, it is a highly effective, condensed program that focuses on body position, reaction time, and game-like situations. It's a powerhouse of performance development in a shorter, more efficient format.
-
Focus Area: The Impact Program focuses on individual skill improvement in a group setting, incorporating in-game scenarios and quick reactions. Not only will athletes work on mapping their movement, but coaches will emphasize the importance of creating opportunities, not just reacting to the play. Athletes will learn to make decisions in real-time, anticipate plays, and turn pressure into advantage.
-
Training Approach: A balanced approach that emphasizes movement efficiency, explosiveness, and decision-making to prepare you for both pre-season and in-season competition.
Program Highlights:
-
Skating Refinement & Agility: Master efficient skating mechanics while building the speed and explosiveness needed for tight, high-pressure game situations.
-
Quick Decision-Making: Sharpen your ability to react in confined spaces with rapid puck handling and game-specific drills.
-
Game-Ready Skills: Perfect your skating, stick-handling, and spatial awareness to dominate the ice when it matters most.
